Alsahwa Net- The government warned on Saturday against consequences of persistent rebellion in Aden by the separatist Southern Transitional Council (STC).
The STC which seized Aden early last August declared late last April self-rule of south Yemen amid surge spread of fatal epidemics.
Muamar Al-Eryani, Minister of Information, said that the STC’s coup led to disruption of government agencies and looting of public revenues.
As a result, “the government will not be able to pay salaries of the public employees and retirees and meet its obligations towards all citizens,” Al-Eryani said.
He held the STC fully responsible for such consequences and its serious impact on the national economy and living standards of citizens which have worsened by the spread of coronavirus and other deadly diseases amid deterioration of the health system due to the STC’s obstruction to the government mandate.
